The Pump Station's lactation consultants strongly recommend the Medela Symphony as the very best & most effective breast pump available anywhere.  This is the Medela "flagship",  the hospital-grade (multi-user) pump that is the benchmark by which all others are judged, and the pump we rent to our local Santa Monica customers.

Don't Risk Your Symphony Warranty.

The Pump Station & Nurtury has a long association with Medela as one of their oldest authorized retailers.

What is the difference between the Symphony and Symphony Plus?

The latest generation from Medela is the Symphony PLUS. Medela research and clinical evidence suggest that unique infant sucking patterns exist in the earliest days of life, and help "program" a mother's breasts for optimal milk production.  Success in these early days has been shown to play an important role in determining longer term lactation success.

As a result of this insight, Medela developed the Symphony Plus with TWO programs:  first, the INITIATE program (Initiation Technology™) proven to help mothers initiate, build, and maintain their breast milk supply and provide the benefits of human milk to their preterm or term infant by mimicking a newborn’s natural feeding behavior in the first few days after birth.

Second, the MAINTAIN pumping program; which uses 2-Phase Expression Technology®, to mimic a baby's natural nursing rhythm after the initiation stage.  The MAINTAIN program is used to build and maintain a mom’s milk supply and should be used by day 6 post-birth and for as long as mom wishes.

Because of its simple cleaning & multi-user format the Medela Symphony PLUS is often selected by organizations seeking to establish their own lactation spaces.  Don't risk your investment or your warranty - only purchase the Symphony from a Medela authorized retailer like The Pump Station!
